Pump Failure

Type 1 Diabetes is a relentless horrible disease. It’s a 24/7 balancing act to keep your child alive and well every day.

At 1.30am Rosanna’s insulin pump failed. When this happens we have one hour to change it before she may need hospital treatment, so you can’t hang about.

I hate waking up sleeping children but even more I hate sticking a needle / cannula into them whilst half asleep. Rosie is so unbelievably brave.
