Independence

Toby has long been able to dress himself and organise things but since going back to school he’s organising himself completely. So whilst I was clearing up

lunch he dressed himself, put on his socks and shoes, toileted himself, packed his bag with water, home / school book, iPad and car seat. He had also got my shoes and socks put ready. Now he’s waiting by the window for the taxi.

However….He’s not quite there yet!

I‘ve had to hand him a wipe to wash his face (although him washing it is a big step forwards); I’ve had to do his top buttons up and tuck him in. Then I’ve rejigged his socks and shoes to be comfy.

I love that’s he’s trying and his ever growing independence.
